Video review: Stand and Deliver

A new title that goes behind the scenes of stand up, Stand and Deliver magazine wants comedy to be appreciated in all its complex glory. This isn’t a magazine that’s going to make you laugh – it leaves the jokes to the comedians and instead gets on with profiling the personalities and following their flights of fancy throughout the pages.

I first came across Stand and Deliver when its creative director Danielle Gilbert brought her idea to one of my Guardian Masterclasses, and it’s hugely excited to see the first issue land with such a confident thud. I loved the idea from the first time she described it, and I’m really looking forward to seeing where they go with it next.
