Stack Awards: Shortlist announced!

After a week of intense magazine reading and (literal) paper pushing, we’ve now carefully pored over more than 350 entries for this year’s Stack Awards and narrowed them down into the shortlists for our 11 categories.

We’re thrilled to have received over twice as many submissions as we did for last year’s inaugural awards, and would like to say huge thank you to everyone who entered.

The magazines are now on their way to an international panel of expert judges, which includes Gail Bichler, Design Director of the New York Times Magazine, Christoph Amend, Editor-in-Chief of ZEITmagazin and Debbie Millman, previous president of AIGA.

They will live with the magazines for a full month before deliberating during a day of judging at the Ace Hotel in London on 17 November, with the winners announced at our awards ceremony at The Book Club on 29 November.

The one problem with receiving so many more magazines this time around is that the decisions became even harder, and there were lots of really great titles that didn’t make it onto the lists below. But the good news is that this year the magazines we’re sending on to our judges are even stronger than before – choosing the winners from this lot is going to be tough!
