Stack at home — Real Review, April 2017
Real Review was one of our favourite launches from 2016. After selling their second issue on our Sampler service, we could hardly wait to send this one out to Stack subscribers. Taking a starting point in architecture, this is a magazine reviewing what it means to live today — you’ll find out why the temperature at airports are so tightly modulated, and the impact of caffeine as a capitalist drug.
Every month, we ask for feedback from Stack readers, which we collect on a Pinterest board. Subscribers, like us, were delighted with Real Review’s vertical fold, which was done using the same machine that folds newspapers. You can scroll down to see our top responses — the best reaction wins a Stack t-shirt too…
6. Welcome to your April Stack delivery
Thank you Chantelle for showing the experience of receiving a Stack magazine, with a letter from Steve explaining this month’s choice.
5. Tall, thin page turner
The transformative power of Real Review’s vertical fold means that it can also be read when it’s only partly opened, like this…
4. A good looking stack
Love this one from Rotterdam — a beautiful setting for catching up on some magazine reading.
3. A hammock in South Africa
Grass! Outdoors! Hammocks! We can’t wait for the warm weather to hit us here in the Northern Hemisphere…

2. Start ’em young
Wilfred ponders the resemblance of Real Review’s poly-eyed cover star and The Muppet Show’s Animal.

1. Newest fan
It’s great when Stack subscribers stumble across a new magazine they love, especially when it makes them want to order back issues. Thanks for the kind words and lovely photo, Sabine, a Stack t-shirt is on its way to you!
