Anyone who has seen Perdiz on the shelf will know that it’s a very special magazine.

Made by a small team of writers, editors and designers working in Barcelona, it’s made in the belief that happiness is contagious. But as editor-in-chief Marta Puigdemasa explains in her Stack interview, that doesn’t mean trying to tell people how to be happy. Instead the magazine simply shows some of the things that make others feel satisfied and fulfilled in their lives.

In previous issues that has included everything from pigeon fancying to taxidermy, all presented in the most beautiful editorial package. The team works on Perdiz as a labour of love, but there’s nothing cheap about it – with a lovely foil masthead and exposed stitching on the spine, it’s the sort of object you’ll want to keep on your shelf long after you’ve finished reading it.
