Pleasure Garden presents “A Japanese Dream”
Taking inspiration from the pleasure gardens of 18th-century London, Pleasure Garden magazine leaves out the boring stuff about weeding and planting and focuses instead on gardens as places of fantasy and escape, packing its pages with art, culture and fashion.
Each issue is built around a distinct theme and for this latest instalment they’ve picked “A Japanese Dream”, creating a beautiful and expansive magazine that uses plants to highlight Japan’s unique cultural identity and the ways in which it has interacted with the West. Take a look at the video above for a guided flick through those big pages, and if it looks like the sort of publication you want in your life, head to the Stack shop to pick up a copy while stocks last.
