Radically flat flowers
A new magazine focusing on flowers, Pétala stands out thanks to its presentation of ornate, detailed photography on a remarkably stark, flat page layout. Articles are presented in a non-hierarchical arrangement that gives equal importance to all the stories, regardless of whether they consist of two images or a thousand-odd words and 10 photos.
It makes for a strange and arresting reading experience, and helps to showcase the lovely, colourful images of beautiful flowers. Take a look at my guided flick through above to see inside the magazine for yourself, and if you like the look of it, head over to our shop page to pick up a copy for yourself.
