Stack in 2024 – part one
We’re coming to the end of the year, so it feels like a good time to take stock and look back on the magazines we delivered to our subscribers in 2024. And there’s no better way of doing that than by hearing directly from the people who made those magazines. Every month our subscribers are invited to join our Stack Magazine Club nights; a Zoom chat with the editors, designers and publishers who made the last magazine we delivered. It’s a lovely, friendly way for subscribers to hear more about the magazines, and a great opportunity for the magazine makers to talk about what they do and why they do it.
We’ve had club nights for 10 of the titles we delivered this year, because the November and December deliveries will be discussed next month. So I decided to split the year in half, and the episode above covers the magazines we delivered from January to May, with a second episode coming before the end of the year, covering June to October. In the episode above you’ll hear from the people who made Dirty Furniture, Desired Landscapes, Offal, Crude Futures and A Shade Colder.
I love the way that putting them together like this accentuates both their similarities and differences, and I think it makes for a lovely snapshot of the magazines from the first half of the year. If it leaves you wanting to receive a magazine surprise each month, listen through to the end of the episode for our special discount code and you can save 10% on our normal prices. I’m working on the second episode at the moment, and I’ll have that out before the end of the year – make sure you follow us wherever you get your podcasts, and that will drop into your feed as soon as it’s ready.
