Delayed Gratification joins Stack
When Rob Orchard, editor of Delayed Gratification, spoke at Printout! on Wednesday night his concept of Slow Journalism really seemed to strike a chord with the audience. So I’m very pleased to welcome the alternative news quarterly as the latest addition to the Stack line-up of magazines.
Issue two will be out next week, and from the previews I’ve seen it looks like a belter – the first issue started strong, but it really seems to be growing and establishing itself as a unique voice. Just take a look at that cover below – the artwork is by Iraqi calligrapher Hassan Massoudy and is called ‘Where There’s a Will There’s a Way’ (the shape is based on the word ‘will’ in Arabic). It’s a clever way of reflecting the news that has been coming out of the Arab world in the last few months, and a statement of intent for a magazine that has set out to do things differently. Welcome to Stack!
