“Grief is not linear”
A moving project by the photographer Daniela Spector, Parsing describes itself as a newsletter of “interesting things mailed out once a month or until we’re done”. The September issue is a tribute to Spector’s mother, who died last year. In it, Spector photographs the objects her mother has left behind. “Grief is not linear”, Spector tells us in her editor’s letter — the magazine documents Spector’s mother, Ermelinda Flores, and the process of grieving itself.
