Longshot’s long weekend

There must be something in the water. Just two weeks before we start our attempt to make a magazine in 48 hours, Longshot are doing pretty much the same thing over in New York. As I write this they’ve got just under six hours to go until the theme for the issue is announced and people start contributing, so if you want to join in check back and get your creative juices flowing.

They certainly don’t look like they’ll be short of helpers – they completely smashed their Kickstarter target of $7,500 (they raised $17,007) and I bet they’re planning to something pretty special with that cash. I bought a copy of their last issue, made last year from the GOOD headquarters in LA, and it was seriously good – genuinely hard to believe they made it all happen in just two days.

Very good luck to everyone involved in this weekend’s effort – I’ll certainly be keeping an eye on what they make this time around (and not just to steal ideas).
