Rouleur’s tale of two covers
The new issue of Rouleur, the latest magazine to join Stack, was released on 15th March and is now much more accessible to all of you hungry for cycling stories from the front line.
For Issue 29, the team behind the magazine increased their print run by 40% and have made it available in over 400 outlets across the UK. So if you’re at the airport, in a train station or in selected independent and high street stores, you’ll be able to pick up a copy.
What really interested us about this issue of the magazine though, was that the magazines destined for the shops all have an alternate, removable cover.
Rouleur often doesn’t look much like a cycling magazine, which is fine when you’re sending magazines direct to subscribers, but not so good when you’re having to compete on the newsstand.
The solution? A special newsstand-only perforated cover that leaves shoppers in no doubt that this is definitely a cycling magazine. The perforations mean you can rip it off to leave the original cover, and a subscriber offer on the back of the extra cover makes it easy for readers to receive their copies in future.
You can’t complain, effectively you’re getting two covers for the price of one. Plus, you can stick one on your wall.
