Sampler: Nang magazine
Last week, Davide, editor of Nang magazine came to our offices to drop off a copy of his new issue. We were mightily impressed by this new Seoul-based title, as you can see from the video review below, and love the concept of a 10-issue magazine dedicated to cinema in Asia.
Issue one revolves around screenwriting, and it’s packed with great interviews with screenwriters on writing processes, plot development methods, and what it’s like to work in the local film industries of Thailand, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, and Iran. If you like the spreads below, order a copy to get inspired for your next film marathon!
In this issue:
— Alfie Palermo, a screenwriter of horror flicks and gangster films talks about advocating for writers’ rights in Kuala Lumpur— The use of social media in the films of one of Thailand’s most successful young screenwriters
