Where the Wild Things come together
There are going to be lots of magazines with Where the Wild Things Are on their covers in the next couple of weeks, but publisher and creative agency The Church of London has thrown down the gauntlet with an awesome dual cover by illustrator Geoff McFetridge.
This month’s Huck features an interview with Where the Wild Things Are director Spike Jonze, while Little White Lies has taken the film as its inspiration for the entire issue. Simple and elegant and really really cool, it’s a brilliant idea. I wonder whether we’ll see any other treatments as striking as this one?
And I wonder whether any of the big newsagents will have the sense to break out of their usual categorisation of magazines by subject matter to display them next to each other?
