Video review: Der Greif magazine

German photography magazine Der Greif has just released its 10th anniversary issue, with a masterclass in poise and control. Placing otherwise unrelated images alongside each other, they allow for relationships to develop between the pictures and provide space for the reader (or viewer) to create their own dialogue.

I love the simplicity of the page layout and the mix of humour and profundity contained within. This is lovely, stripped back magazine making, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the next decade of Der Greif is going to look like…
