As the name would suggest, Peeps is about people. Using anthropological research as a starting point, it mixes original photography with in-depth writing to report on social shifts around the world and create a totally unique set of perspectives. Flitting from Indonesia’s Cyber Village (page 39) to the streets of Paris (page 46) Peeps looks at first glance like a not very glamorous travel magazine, but there’s much more going on than first meets the eye. Whether it’s focusing on the phenomenon of a local community shaped by the internet, or exposing public attitudes towards the sex workers on rue Saint-Denis, Peeps takes a professional interest in investigating the way we live today.
