Published by Foreign Policy, Critical Mass is an ongoing series that explores a brand, trend or individual’s ripple effect on consumers across the globe.
This issue, “The Kusama Effect”, takes its cue from Yayoi Kusama’s exhibition at The National Gallery Singapore. It examines Kusama’s life and work; and then opens outwards to explore, among other things, the nature of the ‘blockbuster exhibition’, mass market museum merchandising, and the relationship between art and mental health.
