Magazines on the move

We’ve got two magazine events coming up next week – one in London and one in Amsterdam – so if you’re in either of those cities, come and join us for some top quality independent publishing talk.

On Tuesday night I’ll be joining Jeremy at Printout to introduce a selection of magazine makers who have recently relaunched their titles. Come along if you’d like to hear from Makeshift, Boat, The Recorder and Gym Class, all of which masterminded relaunches in 2014. Tickets are £5.95 and include free copies of Makeshift and Boat, plus there’s talk of Monotype swag too.

And on Thursday night I’m heading over to Athenaeum bookshop in Amsterdam for this month’s Stack Live event. We sent out Works That Work to Stack subscribers in December, so editor and creative director Peter Bil’ak will be joining me for a Q&A to dig deep into the making of the magazine, and the challenges of publishing today. It’s free to attend, so just come over at 6.30 and join in the conversation.
