Stack summer school
I’m very pleased to be returning to the Guardian this summer for the next independent magazine publishing masterclass, held at King’s Place in London from 12-13 July.
We’ve added some new names to the line up, and will be delivering another weekend packed with insights from the front lines of magazine publishing.
// Rob Orchard from Delayed Gratification will be back to talk about the importance of identifying a niche for your magazine.
// Rosa Park from Cereal will be on hand to deliver her thoughts on how to make an impact with a magazine.
// John L Walters and Simon Esterson from Eye will speak about the realities of making a magazine today, drawing upon the lessons they’ve learned over the last five years of running their own independent title.
// Esra Gokgoz will return to give her excellent class on content strategy and how to create a digital identity for a magazine.
// And I’ll be doing my bit talking about magazine distribution, and generally keeping things on track over the two days.
It’s an excellent weekend, and this one is looking likely to sell out fast (the Guardian had to cancel our last scheduled class, so we already have all the people on board from the cancelled weekend).
Class size is strictly limited to just 16 people to make sure we have a small, genuinely interactive group that focuses on everyone’s individual needs, so if this sounds like it’s your sort of weekend, don’t miss out!
