POSTR on Stack
UK subscribers should have received their May delivery of Stack by now, complete with a copy of POSTR, the Belgian magazine designed as an A1 poster and distributed free around selected sites in Belgium and the Netherlands. I wrote a couple of weeks ago about Is Not Magazine, an Australian version of the magazine as poster concept, and I really like the idea of a format that grabs a reader’s attention while they’re doing something else, rather than waiting to be picked up.
I first came across POSTR at Colophon back in March, where copies had been stuck up (I think without permission) in various locations around Luxembourg. My copy is now attached to the wall next to the bathroom sink, and I’m enjoying a bit of angry counter-cultural grandstanding as I brush my teeth.
Stack is the only UK distributor for POSTR at the moment and I’m hoping to send out the next issue when it’s ready. I’m always interested in distributing new magazines and interesting formats, so if you know of something good that should be on Stack drop me a line and it could form part of next month’s pack. And in the meantime, there are a few copies of POSTR left over, so if you’re not yet a Stack subscriber, get yourself signed up for your copy of Little White Lies plus a free POSTR.
