Feeling blue?
Every issue of Sindroms is based around a different colour. This time it’s blue, and the magazine has decided to interpret that colour emotionally: in other words, this is an entire magazine themed around sadness.
Many different types of misery are presented here for the reader’s edification, including, but not limited to: ‘saudade’, the Portuguese word for a vague and constant desire for something that does not and probably cannot exist; heartbreak; and plain old depression. If reading a publication devoted to sorrow sounds unpleasant to you, do not fear: the artwork in here (which is of course all blue) is so slick and succulent as to be strangely uplifting.
Below, we’ve photographed the most striking pages.
