Video review: Romka magazine

Most of the time I find myself writing about new magazines in their first couple of issues, but last week I discovered a title that’s coming to the end of its life cycle. Romka magazine is an art project that was conceived to run across 10 issues and it’s already at number nine, so while I’m very pleased to have found it I wish it had come along a bit earlier!

The concept and execution are beautifully simple: contributors send in their favourite photograph, along with a short accompanying text. Sometimes the text is prosaic, sometimes poetic, but the results are always captivating.
