Video review: Shelf Heroes magazine

I’m a big fan of simple editorial concepts, and Shelf Heroes magazine brings a brilliantly basic approach to the movies.

Each issue is themed around a different letter (issue one was A, issue two is B…) and contributors are simply asked to “Go create something” based on a film beginning with that letter. Everyone involved is clearly responding to movies that mean something to them, and the results are pleasingly free of intellectual flexing. Take a look at the video below for a quick flick through some of the best work on show.
