Young Publishers

As well as running Stack I also work as publishing director at TCOLondon, where we make Huck, Little White Lies and a load of other stuff.

We recently started a series of talks and events based around the publishing industry – we want to turn TCOLondon and our events space, 71a, into a real centre of excellence for the most interesting, exciting work being done in publishing at the moment.

On Tuesday 16th we’re bringing together a panel of three young publishers to talk about the industry as they found it, and the direction they think things are going in. It should be a really interesting night, starring the estimable opinions of:

// Eve Williams (29) is the MD of Cedar Communications. She’s responsible for Tesco Magazine (Britain’s biggest magazine, with seven million readers) and last year she launched the title in the Chinese market.
// Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett (25) was the winner of last year’s Guardian Student Media Columnist of the Year. She co-founded the feminist blog The Vagenda, and has written for the Guardian and the New Statesman amongst others. She has just signed a deal with Random House to co-write the Vagenda book.
// Jonny Burch (26) is the editor of Shellsuit Zombie, the annual magazine for young people finding their way into the creative industries. He’s also the co-founder of creative agency Zombie Labs, and he splits his time between London and Stockholm.

Tickets cost £6 and are on sale now, but space is very limited (we like to say ‘intimate’) so don’t miss out.
