Video review: Gather Journal

The latest issue of Gather Journal is an extraordinary proposition. Based around the theme of ‘origin’ and built upon the structure of New York’s American Museum of Natural History, it presents readers with a series of recipes that also muse upon the world and our place within it.

It’s gloriously overblown stuff, and yet it’s also right on the money, pairing fantastic art direction with fascinating little asides that can either be read in linear sequence like a conventional magazine, or dipped into and out of like a recipe book. Take a look at the video below and you’ll see what I mean, as I struggle to find the words to express how much I like this one…
