There’s no shortage of food magazines already out there sitting on shelves around the world, but Pit magazine has joined the fray and succeeded in carving out a distinct new niche for itself. Focusing on live-fire cooking and smoking, this is a magazine of artfully charred meats, next level barbecues and smoky entrepreneurs, and it quickly sold out when we offered it on our Sampler service a few weeks ago.

Our copy arrived last week and I settled down with it properly over the weekend. I was hungry from page six onwards, and I’m already looking forward to seeing what their second issue will bring when it arrives in August.
