Zoetrope, the literary magazine created by Francis Ford Coppola
Founded by Francis Ford Coppola and Adrienne Brodeur in 1997, Zoetrope: All-Story was born out of the desire to create a forum for great short stories that may go on to become great films. As its current editor Michael Ray tells us, Coppola believes that “short fiction is the narrative art form most akin to film”. The magazine has a long list of impressive guest designers, each given full creative freedom to imbue their vision on their individual issue.
We sent Zoetrope out to Stack subscribers in 2011, and we’re excited to announce that they’re back on our roster (we always wait at least two years before sending out any magazine again, but in reality it tends to take much longer than that). To celebrate their return, we’ve dug deep into their archives to pick out some of the very special contributors they’ve collaborated with.

3. Olafur Eliasson
Olafur Eliasson’s art is driven by his interests in perception, movement, embodied experience, and feelings of self; and his diverse works — in sculpture, painting, photography, film, and architecture — have been exhibited widely throughout the world. He guest-designed the Winter 2016/17 edition.
