Taking its title from the Italian word for ‘crazy’, Matto is a bi-annual magazine that seeks to escape definition. Instead, it remains in a constant state of experimentation.
This second issue takes readers across the globe to meet artists and creators whose work reflects the magazine’s primary goal: “to fluidly combine art-photography-literature-fashion-music-sex”.
In this issue:
- Cover and photo portfolio by Japanese artist-photographer Daisuke Yokota
- “Because I want to be believed”: a home visit in New York with artist and furniture designer Mark Hundley
- What constitutes self? An interview with artist Anicka Yi
- “Sandwiches are fun to eat”, in conversation with Lexie Smith
Matto issue 1 is also available in the Stack shop.
