Magazines in a time of coronavirus: South London Review of Hand Dryers
Inspired by MacGuffin, which bases every issue around one seemingly mundane object, we asked the editors of our favourite magazines to share an object that brings them comfort. Up today, Wedgley Snipes of the South London Review of Hand Dryers shares his pick.
“As the editor of a zine about hand dryers, you can imagine my reaction when Boris closed all the pubs, clubs and other hot air hubs. But I have a plan. The magazine isn’t going be about hand dryers anymore. No, no. I actually can’t remember what a hand dryer looks like to be honest with you. From now on, all my attention will be given over to the South London Review of Hand Sanitiser.
It’s relevant, and it’s edgy. So what’s not to love? While our endeavours are currently limited to Instagram, I can confirm that quarantine has truly reignited my dwindling passion for (maga)zine making.”
