30-Second Story: Nous magazine #8

We’re seeing more and more independent magazines candidly communicating personal, honest and crucial stories to do with mental health. But Nous is a title that has been exploring mind culture and empathetic thinking since 2013. Their 8th issue, which we offered on our weekly newsletter Sampler, sold out within a day.

Exploring addictions, relationships, and our mind’s idea of ‘play’, their short stories, poetries and illustrations were ink by a risograph in Manchester’s Team Trident Press. Cheerful yellow, peach and navy dance inbetween the text, creating a completely engaging and low-pressure reading experience — even though some of their subjects can be confronting and tough to digest.
