Award-winning independents

Entries for this year’s Stack Awards close on Friday 27 September and our office is currently being overrun by some of the most interesting and exciting independent magazines published in the last 12 months. (Remember, if you’re planning on entering, your magazines and entry forms need to be with us by the 27th – no extensions!)

This will be our fifth annual awards ceremony, so for our next Stack Live event we’re we’re bringing together some of our winners from the last four years to speak about the most important things they’ve learned from publishing their magazines. Reflecting on the challenges they have encountered and the passions that led them to publish in the first place, they will speak about their first-hand experiences of independent magazine making and share their top tips for anyone who is taking the leap into print.

Join us at The Book Club in London on Tuesday 24 September for an evening with:

Valentina Egoavil Medina, editor of Suspira (Launch of the Year, 2018)
Emily Gosling, senior editor of Eye on Design (Cover of the Year, 2018)
Jack Self, editor of Real Review (Launch of the Year, 2016)

It’s going to be a great night of open and honest magazine talk, so come along to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the work that goes into these fantastic titles, and to ask your questions of the panel. (Unfortunately Jack can’t be with us on the night, so he’ll be presenting his thoughts via video.)
