Little Magazine Gift Guide

A little over a week ago, Melanie from Makeshift magazine called me. She had been trying to place the magazine in Christmas gift guides, but had found it difficult to break through, so, in typical independent style, she wanted to make her own. Would I, she asked, be able to recommend some magazines and make some introductions?

I thought it sounded like a great idea, if possibly a little too ambitious, and said yes. (The Makeshift team had given themselves less than a week to put it all together – a week that included the Thanksgiving holiday.)
