Batshit Times takes an absurd look at our dark days
Peter McCain is creative director and editor-in-chief of Batshit Times, the New York-based satire and arts magazine that released its first issue as a digital edition in April last year, and which followed that with a printed magazine for issue two. The first issue was themed ‘Quarantine’, and when I read it I assumed the whole project was conceived in response to the pandemic, but as he explains in this conversation, he’d been wanting to make a magazine long before COVID shut everything down. And while the restrictions we’ve all lived with have been a major inspiration for him, there are lots of other things he’s much more worried about.
