Batshit Times takes an absurd look at our dark days

Untitled-1 pause

Peter McCain is creative director and editor-in-chief of Batshit Times, the New York-based satire and arts magazine that released its first issue as a digital edition in April last year, and which followed that with a printed magazine for issue two. The first issue was themed ‘Quarantine’, and when I read it I assumed the whole project was conceived in response to the pandemic, but as he explains in this conversation, he’d been wanting to make a magazine long before COVID shut everything down. And while the restrictions we’ve all lived with have been a major inspiration for him, there are lots of other things he’s much more worried about.

I really enjoyed this conversation with Peter and I hope you like it too – if you want to hear more of our podcasts check our archives on Soundcloud, and of course if you follow us wherever you get your podcasts we’ll be able to deliver our new ones to you as soon as they’re ready.
